Following items are the terms used by KelkooGroup that you will encounter on every page of this documentation and thus are worth an explanation.
Offer, merchant, category and product
For the following definitions, let's take some examples from the kelkoo.co.uk website.
If we search for canon eos 77d, we can get following results page:
The red square (1) is an offer.
The website selling an offer is what we call a merchant (also known as a "store"). You can see the merchant name in the red square (2).
An offer belongs to a category. You can see the categories in which we found offers for the query in the red square (3).
Here in the screenshot, there is 4 different offers displayed, they are all quite similar as we searched with quite a precise query canon eos 77d: the only difference being the price and the website that is selling them. These 4 offers are for the same product: a Canon EOS 77D. The same product sold by different merchants leads to different offers on KelkooGroup network.
Those 4 terms can be presented in a relationship diagram like following:
Offers
An offer is a product sold by a given merchant, at a given price and under specific conditions (shipping cost, delivery delays...).
An offer is made up of several attributes or fields like:

a title, eg. Canon EOS 77D DSLR Camera with EF-S 18 - 135 mm F3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens - Black

a brand, eg. Canon

a description, eg. A powerful performance - A next-generation APS-C sensor produces photos packed with amazing detail, even in bright highlights and dark shadows...

Categories
Categories are defined as a tree.
If you go to the kelkoo.co.uk website, you can search offers by browsing the categories.
For instance, the category Electronics contains a sub category Photography which itself contains subcategories that you can see in the screenshot above.
Universes
Specific category: category at the first level of the tree after the root. For instance you can browse kelkoo.co.uk universes: Entertainment , Electronics , Fashion & Lingerie...
Google Product Categories
In addition to the KelkooGroup category, we also provide the Google Product Category within the content of a KelkooGroup offer.
