đź’ˇWhat is Spotlight?
Spotlight highlights the merchants most worth promoting right now. They are merchants that have budget available to spend this month and are converting well, so promoting them gives you the best chance of earning from your traffic today.
How are Spotlight merchants chosen?
Merchants are selected automatically, based on:

how much of their monthly budget they still have available to spend

how well they are converting at the moment

whether they are available to you in the Publisher Center
The list updates throughout the month as merchants’ budgets and performance change. A merchant that appears in Spotlight one week may not appear the next, and new merchants join as opportunities open up.
You only ever see merchants in countries where you are active, and merchants you have access to.

All three use the same list, so you see the same merchants wherever you look.
Using the Shopping API
Spotlight merchants are flagged in the /feeds/merchants endpoint. Each merchant in the response has a spotlight field, set to "true" when the merchant is in Spotlight and "false" when it isn’t.
To return only Spotlight merchants, add spotlight=yes to your request:

The field always reflects the current list, so you don’t need to change your integration as merchants join or leave.
Get your Spotlight merchants by email
You can receive your Spotlight merchants in your inbox once a week.

Log in to the Publisher Center.

Go to the Merchant Directory.

Switch on the Weekly Spotlight email digest toggle.
To stop receiving the email, switch the toggle off.
Frequently asked questions
Why has a merchant disappeared from Spotlight? The list reflects each merchant’s current budget and performance. When a merchant has spent most of its budget for the month, or its performance changes, it may leave the list. It can come back later.
Can I ask for a merchant to be added to Spotlight? No. Spotlight is generated automatically. You can still promote any merchant you have access to.
